Peter Schöber

Peter Schöber began his career in journalism in the late 1980s at ORF Radio Oberösterreich. He held a leadership role at the Ars Electronica Festival and was part of the founding team of the Ars Electronica Center in the 1990s. In 1998, he became a senior editor at ORF’s news division, leading European media projects at the intersection of journalism and communication technology. A graduate of the CNN International Professional Program, he played a key role in developing innovations in TV news, magazines, reports, and documentaries. From 2007 to 2009, he headed ORF’s central TV program services, overseeing promotion, planning, broadcasting, and subtitling. Since 2010, he has been CEO of TW1, leading its transformation into ORF III, Austria’s cultural and information TV channel.
